Quiz 4.1:

Question:

Write an exponential function \(Q(t)\) where \(t\) is time measured in years, that has initial value 100,000 and is decreasing by 5% per year

Solution:

\( Q(t)=100000 \left ( 0.95 \right ) ^t \)

Note that the growth rate is \( r = - 0.05 = -5\% \) and the growth factor is \( b = 0.95 =95\% \)
